Applying for Scholarships


Below is information about how to apply for scholarships that are awarded through the Community Foundation's Scholarship Committee. Other awards from scholarship funds we manage are carried out through partnering organizations. Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship 2013

Up to two Monroe County graduating high school seniors may be awarded four-year, full tuition scholarships to pursue baccalaureate degrees at colleges or universities in Indiana. In addition, $900 will be available annually to cover the cost of required books and equipment.  Please click the Lilly Logo below to download the 2013 scholarship application.  The application deadline is November 20, 2012.

Stinesville Alumni Scholarship Fund


This fund provides educational scholarships for Edgewood High School graduates who have a Bean Blossom Township School affiliation.

Application deadline:  February 28 each year

Tom Moeller Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this fund is to provide music scholarships/grants to high school students – grades 10 to 12 - who reside in Monroe County and wish to pursue music endeavors.
  Examples of expenses eligible for this scholarship award include, but are not limited to, rental or purchase of a musical instrument, music lessons, fees for musical competition, recording projects, vocal lessons, tuition for music camp (college tuition/fees for music and/or music education major may be considered).

Application deadline:  April 15 each year

Moeller Scholarship Guidelines and Application

Monroe County Ag Day Fund


An eligible applicant is a current senior in high school who meets at least one of the following criteria:

a. Raised on a farm (or)
b. A member/former member of the Monroe County 4-H program (or)
c. A current member of the Monroe County FFA chapter 

Application deadline:  extended to March 15, 2013
Scholarship amount for 2013:  up to $900.00

Ag Day Scholarship - Guidelines and Application

Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club Betty Burnett Welke Scholarship Fund

Eligible applicants:

1.  Are a member in good standing of the Indiana Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi.

2.  Are a sophomore or junior currently attending Indiana University, Bloomington.       

3.  Have at least a 2.5 overall GPA.


Application deadline:  January 31 each year

Pi Phi Welke Scholarship Application
Richard H. Crosser Memorial Scholarship
 
Eligible applicants:
1.  Are graduating from Bloomington High School North
2.  Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
3.  Wish to pursue either a two or four year degree in structural engineering, architecture, building trades, real estate, drafting, business, finance, accounting, or some other field related to building trades at a college or university in the state of Indiana.
